Maxi Beam is Slick System's medium to heavy duty truss, purpose
designed and built to meet the rigorous requirements of touring,
and situations where fast and easy erection and dismantling is
essential.
It is a 617.5mm (2ft) square truss and comes in 1.2M (4ft), 1.6M (5ft) and 2.4M (8ft) lengths and uses the Slick fork end fitting joints for ease of construction. Maxi Beam is manufactured from high grade aluminium alloy and is engineered to conform to the latest EN and DIN standards.
Maxi Beam truss is available in many configurations, from bottom braced, open bottom, with or without castors or the pre-rigged style with drop-down mechanism. The range also comes with the usual range of horizontal and swivel corner blocks keeping in with the usual versatility of Slick Trussing.
The 2.4M section can carry two bars of six PAR fixtures on a
sliding drop-down mechanism. The lamp bars are quickly and
easily installed and removed via two wing bolted clamps. Once the
bar has been lowered, the retaining clamps may be slackened,
enabling the bar to be rotated, giving greater versatility for
focusing of shallow angles.
Maxi Beam can be used in a ground support situation using Slick one and two tonne towers along with the use of a Maxi Beam travelling corner block.
